This is the time of year when we get to kick back, enjoy some quality time with our loved ones, and soak up the patriotic vibes—complete with the spectacular fireworks displays that make us feel like we’re living in a real-life summer blockbuster.
We know how much you love creating unforgettable memories with your kiddos, so we’ve rounded up the best activities that’ll make this Independence Day one for the books. Picture this: warm summer nights, the sky lit up with dazzling colors, the oohs and aahs of your little ones, and plenty of opportunities to snap those Instagram-worthy family photos.
Great American 4th in Maricopa, AZ
First up, let’s talk fireworks. Because, let’s be honest, no 4th of July is complete without them. It’s like having a birthday party without cake—totally unthinkable. In Maricopa, we’ve got a show that promises to be a real firecracker. We can set up our blankets and lawn chairs at Copper Sky Regional Park, where the sky will be ablaze with a pyrotechnic extravaganza. Pro tip: bring some glow sticks for the kiddos—they’ll love waving them around while they wait for the show to start.
Great American 4th Pool Party

The Great American 4th Pool Party at Copper Sky Aquatic Center. Entrance to the Pool Party will be through the main Aquatic Center entrance off the parking lot, and your Pool Party wristbands include access to the Event Waterslides and Obstacle Course that open at 6PM! Pool party will have a DJ, rock wall, slide, log roll, and lazy river!

The Great American 4th is Maricopa’s annual celebration of America’s Independence. Celebrate freedom by enjoying food with your friends and family while you watch the fireworks show. GA4th has something for everyone with live music performances, water slides, a pool party, a beer garden, food trucks, vendors/shopping and much more!
Cap off the night with live music performances and an amazing fireworks display!
Free parking passes are available to Copper Sky members at the front desk before the day of event. $7 prepaid parking passes are available here. Parking will be $10 at the gate on the day of the event. Cash and card accepted. Handicap parking is available at the event. All parking is first come first serve.
City of Casa Grande 4th of July Celebration
Over in Casa Grande, we’ll find another gem of a celebration. Paul Mason Sports Complex is where the magic happens. Imagine this: a beautiful desert sunset giving way to a night sky painted with bursts of red, white, and blue. We’ll have a blast munching on all-American snacks—hello, hot dogs and popcorn—while we enjoy live music and other fun activities. It’s the kind of night that makes us feel like we’re living in a classic family sitcom, minus the laugh track.

The Community Services Department is excited to bring back our annual signature event in true Casa Grande style. This community event will feature fireworks, inflatables, food trucks, games, a bubble zone, and more. Food will be available for purchase.
The main entrance to the event will be located at Pinal Avenue and Rodeo Road. The Paul Mason Sports Complex main entrance will be closed for the duration of the event. Please use the Rodeo Road entrance. The City encourages residents to arrive at the park early and enjoy the festivities before the fireworks show.
Free shuttles for the event area will be available in lots B, C, and D.
4th of July Florence Freedom Fest
Florence, with its small-town charm, offers a quaint yet equally enchanting 4th of July experience. Here, the community gathers at Heritage Park for an evening that feels like stepping into a heartwarming summer movie. We’ll enjoy a laid-back picnic with our nearest and dearest, soaking in the festive atmosphere as we wait for the fireworks to light up the sky. It’s the perfect setting for a family bonding session—think “This Is Us,” but with more sparklers and less drama.
4th of July Freedom Fest at Florence Aquatic Center

The fun starts at the Florence Aquatic Center for the Freedom Fest Party. Open swimming, games, and music throughout the day. This FREE event has a limited capacity, so come early.

We’ll find ourselves immersed in a day full of activities, from lively parades to engaging games and local food vendors dishing out delicious treats. As the sun sets, the fireworks show promises to be a dazzling spectacle, with the bursts of color reflecting off the park’s serene surroundings. It’s a scene straight out of a summer postcard, making it the perfect spot to unwind with family and friends.
