- Look for plain backgrounds, and nothing in the background sticking out of heads and such.
- Plain colors are best, logos and patterns can be distracting.
- Don’t stress. The more the photographer stresses, the more the subject stresses. If you’re trying to take pictures of your child and they aren’t in the best mood, wait. Or you can make it into a game, have them sing their favorite song, or give you silly faces. Most of the time those are the best portraits.
