ODD SQUAD LIVE! is springing into action on stage at Comerica Theatre on Saturday, February 18, 2017. Odd Squad Live! is an interactive, laugh-out-loud adventure where audience members get to participate in solving a seriously strange case. When agents Orion and Oleanna get turned into grown-ups by villains, it’s up to the kids in the audience to use their math skills and help the agents decode, decipher and unravel clues. With a little help from Ms. O back at headquarters, the agents and the audience work together to save the day! Lucky audience members will even get to join the fun on stage and use amazing Odd Squad gadgets.

 

The side-splitting humor and oddly irresistible fun that earned the Odd Squad writing team a 2016 Daytime Emmy Award for “Outstanding Writing in a Children’s Series” will burst onto the stage in this action-packed, educational, and hilarious live show. Odd Squad LIVE! is filled with the coolest new gadgets, funniest and quirkiest villains  like “Father Time” and “Lady Terrible,” and catchy hit songs from the Odd Squad-favorite band, Soundcheck. The stage show will feature Odd Squad “classic” tunes as well as all-new songs.

Odd Squad the television series is a live-action show designed to help kids 5-8 build math, problem-solving and collaboration skills. The show focuses on intrepid young agents who are part of Odd Squad, an agency whose mission is to investigate unusual occurrences. A math concept is embedded in each of their cases, as they work together to problem-solve and set things right. Odd Squad premiered on PBS KIDS in November 2014 and airs weekdays on PBS stations (check local listings).

Odd Squad was viewed by more than 33 million people in its first year on TV and averages 34.6 million streams per month on digital platforms (Source: Nielsen NPOWER, L+7, Oct. 27, 2014 – Oct. 25, 2015, Reach includes series & specials, P2+, 6+min., 50% unif.; Google Analytics, October 2014 – June 2016). The series earned four Daytime Emmy Awards in 2016, including “Outstanding Writing in a Children’s Series” and “Outstanding Direction in a Children’s Series.” The program was also awarded a Daytime Emmy in 2015 for “Best Direction in a Children’s Series.”
